Review of the New Recalls Plus App Program

I wanted to let everyone know about a cool tool that was recently introduced to me by She Speaks. It’s called the Recalls Plus App Program, and was designed to keep folks (parents in particular) abreast of any current product recalls that have been announced. The program is created by SAP, a market leader in enterprise application software. The Recalls Plus team of ten professionals work around the clock to make sure they are adding the latest recall information for consumers.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I find this to be an excellent idea! I am constantly sharing recall information, with my friends and family, which I usually discover through the news and various social networking avenues. It’s great to have a tool that can bring all of that information to one place. Plus, you can set up actual product watch lists. This will let you know if a recall ever comes up for a particular item of interest.

While the app was actually built to announce baby and children’s recalls, I have found that the scope does spread a little further than that.  This app actually includes information about recalls for other types of products, and not just baby and children’s items. For example, I’ve found that the app has kept me updated on many food recalls that could very well be beneficial to anyone, and not just a parent.

Having observed this little aspect, wouldn’t it be great if the Recalls Plus App Program eventually branched out to include information about every recall out there? It is such a nifty tool to begin with. I feel that once they grow, they should really consider it, because it would provide a huge benefit for everyone!

Parent or not, I recommend you give it a try. It’s free and you can use the app on Facebook, iPhone, and Android. In my opinion it has a user-friendly interface, which makes it a breeze to navigate through! If interested, you can visit the Recalls Plus App Program page to receive more information or to download it.
