Precious Moments 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury {Review and Giveway}

I always loved Precious Moments when I was a little girl. Who could honestly resist those innocent faces illustrated in beautiful pastel colors? Recently, I was introduced to the Precious Moments 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury and immediately thought, "This could be a wonderful addition to my son's bedtime routine!" The word of God coupled with Precious Moments...there's something so comforting about that.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Precious Moments 5-Minute Bible Stories combines the simple and popular 5-minute format with best-loved content from Precious Moments®. This newly updated Bible storybook is a beautiful book to help parents put their children to bed with ease. Includes 30 Bible stories plus Words of Praise and Wisdom and Songs and Prayers.

The book, itself, is gorgeous. There is a soft padded cover and a ribbon bookmark, so your child can pick up where he/she left off reading. Included are 192 pages of Bibles stories, songs, prayers, as well as other fun sections to personalize the book. At the end of each Bible story there's also a Bedtime Bible Promise (a scripture verse) to recite.

The Table of Contents is broken down into three different sections:

  • Section 1: God is Trustworthy
  • Section 2: God is Good
  • Section 3: God is Love

Additional personalization features are also included:

  • A special dedication page in the beginning of the book, which is perfect for gifting
  • A Family Tree section for children to list their immediate family members
  • An All About Me section to add a small biography. It even includes an area for a child's hand print
  • A Church Record to list special events, camps, and ceremonies
  • A Prayer from Someone Who Loves Me section. Parents or another family member/friend can write their own personal prayer for the child.
  • The My Own Bedtime Prayer section allows children to write their very own personal bedtime prayer

I also wanted to mention that Precious Moments 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury is not only a nighttime book. The stories can actually be read any time of the day. Plus, the fact that a child can personalize it to make it their very own is one of my absolute favorite features!

Precious Moments 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury is a book that any child is sure to cherish and it makes a terrific gift! In addition, to receiving a free book from the publisher, I've also been blessed with having the opportunity to host a giveaway, so that one winner can receive their very own copy of the Precious Moments 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury.

I consider it a precious moment when my kids and I play board games together or put together a puzzle together.

My favorites are when our two daughters were born.

That is definitely a precious moment! When I was a little girl, my father and I would have family game nights. It is one of my favorite memories as a child. My son is still a bit too young for this activity, but I'm really looking forward to passing on that tradition with him when he gets a little older. Thank you for sharing.

I've never heard of anything like this but if we grilled at night it would be a big help.

How precious! My favorite precious moments include- the sweaty palms & nervous giggles of my husband & I when we were wed, my son introducing his brand new baby sister to his "daddy doll" (it is a doll for children in the military, it has a sleeve so you can put a picture of the deployed parent's face in), the look on my husband's face the moment he laid eyes on his little girl for the first time, morning cuddles & family game nights. I could go on forever- my life is so full of precious moments! <3

Having my children is #1. My son has autism and the miracles that I see daily with him are my most precious moments.

Well the most recent one, was last Nov 20th, when my baby granddaughter, was coming into the world. There were some complications but by God's grace she will be 1 next month and is doing well.

We can only hope that our kids take what we teach them into life. Mine are older with life struggles and I pray I instilled the right values and teachings of Christ. Now I feel I need to start helping my kids with teaching their kids biblical principals.

The way you describe this book sounds like an original story. O often wondered if the animals on the earth were in tune to Christ birth. Very interesting to know how they may have reacted.

I agree! There's nothing more special than the birth of our children. :-)

Hi Kathy, I completely agree! It sounds like you have made the best plan of action to teach your children values, as well helping them teach theirs.

Kelly said...

It really is a nice teaching tool for parents. :-)

Kelly said...

I'd like to think that they were. I love the that the book offers this take on the event. :-)

It really is! I highly recommend this one and Goodnight, Ark (both from the same author).
