Good Night, Little Love by Laura Neutzling {Children's Board Book Review + GIVEAWAY}

Pin It

It's no secret that we love books in our house. Boards books are especially nice for my son, because he can flip through them without me worrying about accidental page rips. The latest member of our board book family is Good Night, Little Love, an endearing story that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Getting ready for sleepy time has never been so sweet. It’s time to put on pajamas, snuggle up, and look forward to all the happy adventures and togetherness that God will bring tomorrow. Help your child wind down with this imaginative lullaby with whimsical illustrations, and then drift off to sleep reassured of your unconditional love and affection.

Good Night, Little Love is a sweet story about a mother bunny getting getting her little one ready for bed. Each page starts off with momma bunny saying, "Good night, Little Love" and then she moves onto all of the fun adventures that the next day will bring. Whenever I put my little one to bed, I always remind him about the fun we're going to have the next day–playing, running, laughing, and learning! That's why I really liked this book, since it reminded me of the nighttime routine that I have with my own son.

This is a die-cut board book embellished with foil and glitter hearts on the front cover. The inside illustrations, by Anna Currey, contain beautiful colors and drawings of the bunnies as they prepare for bedtime. My son really loves when we read this book together, and enjoys all of the delightful pictures.

The text is full of  simple rhyming prose, which is wonderful for little ones who are learning to read. We read it throughout the day, but with the main emphasis on momma bunny saying good night to her little bunny, it is the perfect story for bedtime.

With Valentine's Day this week, Good Night, Little Love would be such a wonderful surprise for the children in your life. It really does make the perfect themed gift that says, "I Love You."

Would you like to win a copy of Good Night, Little Love? I'm happy to announce a new giveaway right here! One Our Everyday Harvest reader will receive their copy of this beautiful board book!

My kids love picking out a book each night before bed. I love seeing how as young kids they tend to choose the same book, and as they get older they start choosing a different one each time.

I know exactly what you mean, Colleen! My son always gravitates towards certain books, that we read over and over, because just loves them so much! :-)
