Inspiring Words: 30 Verses from the Bible You Can Color {Adult Coloring Book Review}

When I was a little girl, I loved to keep myself busy by coloring in coloring books. It's been quite a long time since I've had the chance to partake in my coloring book creations, although lately I have been enjoying watching my son scribble colors in his.

I've noticed this recent trend with adult coloring books and have been a bit intrigued by them. At the same time, I never really took a moment to actually pick one up and see what they're all about. I had a recent opportunity to receive the new Inspiring Words adult coloring book, and I must say the whole concept is pretty great!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Take time to relax, sit back, and meditate on God’s Word. Inside these pages, you’ll find thirty unique and creative illustrations focusing on key verses from the Bible, each offering an opportunity to connect with Scripture while exploring your creativity. Throughout, NIV verses are paired with detailed line art, and each page is printed on high-quality, thick paper stock that won’t bleed through. And when you’re finished coloring with markers, pens, watercolors, or colored pencils, the completed page can be removed, allowing you to display your work for even more daily inspiration.

Inspiring Words includes thirty separate pages that are available to color. I was extremely impressed with the amount of detail included on every page. Each one contains various patterns and pictures to fill (some examples include flowers, leaves, hearts, and paisley designs), as well as an amazing Bible verse. Coloring can be a great way to relieve stress and relax your mind. This particular coloring book will not only allow you do that, but you can also read inspirational verses to offer you a little extra encouragement. The whole idea is right in the title, "Inspiring Words."

Each coloring page is one-sided and made of heavier paper than a typical coloring book would have. There are also dash markings at the left edge of each page, offering you a cutting guide. These particular features allow you to take your colored work of art out of the book and display it in a frame.

Who says coloring is only meant for children? With coloring books like this, adults can have just as much fun. At the end of the day, make a nice hot cup of chamomile tea, throw in the Inspiring Words coloring book, and give yourself a chance to unwind.
