Help Teens Build a Strong Foundation of Faith with the NKJV, Teen Study Bible #Review

It's nice to see that more and more Bibles are being made to cater towards different stages of someone's life. In the past we've received Bibles specifically made for toddlers, young children, and even tweens. Recently, I also received the NKJV, Teen Study Bible, which is perfectly tailored for today's teenagers seeking to learn scripture and get closer to God.

ABOUT THE BIBLE:
The #1 selling Bible for teens, now available in the New King James Version. As an on-the-go teen, you're moving fast. God is moving faster! The New King James Version Teen Study Bible will help you keep in step with all he has done, is doing, and will do in the world and in your life. This Bible will help you discover the eternal truths of God's Word and apply them to the issues you face today.

This Bible is a hard cover with a fun, hip design, perfect for teens. The very beginning begins with the Apostles’ Creed. The next page offers a section called “We Believe,” which pretty much gives a phrase by phrase breakdown of the Apostles’ Creed, along with Bible passage references–helping the reader learn and connect this very important affirmation of the Christian faith to scripture.

The NKJV, Teen Study Bible is also packed with a ton of additional features that are pretty awesome:

  • New King James Version (NKJV) Bible Text: Offers an accurate interpretation of the original King James Bible, but with a more up to date and easy to understand translation.
  • Book Introductions: Offers an overview of all 66 books in the Bible, complete with key events, previews, and historical happenings.
  • Panorama: Provides the reader with the main theme of each book in the Bible.
  • To the Point: Shows what the Bible says about problems and issues that teens may have to come against in their daily lives.
  • Dear Jordan: Very reminiscent of a magazine column area. Jordan offers guidance on some of today's most pressing topics, while using Biblical references.
  • Key Indexes: A Bible Truth Index and Teen Life Index offer search words that lead the reader to areas of the Bible where they can learn more about the topic.
  • Instant Access: Offer answers/solutions for many typical questions/situations based on what God has to say about them.
  • Bible Promises: Highlights many noteworthy verses in the Bible.
  • Q&A: Fun Bible Trivia
  • Beautiful Full Color Maps
  • Measures and Weights Table

Having a Bible that is adapted to fit someone's age or lifestyle can really offer a more personal Bible study experience. The teenage years can be an interesting stage of life to say the least. Teens are sometimes faced with their own set of unique challenges. The NKJV, Teen Study Bible really helps offer them guidance on some of the many different circumstances that they may find themselves face to face with. There are even areas of discussion that touch up on the more difficult topics, such as sex, discrimination, bullying, peer pressure, and even drunk driving. Of course, no parent wants to think about their child having to tackle these issues. Either way, they still may be faced with them, so it is important that they build a strong foundation of faith and values to be ready for anything that may come their way.

If you have a teenager in your life, then I truly recommend getting them the NKJV, Teen Study Bible. I personally consider this to be an incredible tool to help them build and maintain a relationship with God during this stage of their life.

The storyline is interesting and reminds me of The Wild Thornberrys about trying to save wildlife. True stories like these remind us to believe in good people. A little compassion for other living beings goes a long way.

Oh wow, I haven't come across the The Wild Thornberrys in quite a while! I agree, compassion does go a along way. It's wonderful to share true stories like Chizi's Tale with little ones. so that they can also learn that. Thanks for your comment, Lexi!
