Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin and Pat Barrett ~ Children's Book Giveaway

When we stop to think about everything that God is, the list can get quite long. He's a warrior, a healer, a teacher, and a bringer of joy. He's also a good father to His children. Today, a new children's book has been released to celebrate the many things that God is and how much He cares for us. Good Good Father written by Christian recording artists, Chris Tomlin and Pat Barrett is a precious little tale that shows little ones how great God's love is for all of us.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
You have heard a thousand stories, but the truth in the pages of Good Good Father will move your heart. This beautiful picture book, written by Grammy award-winning Christian music artist Chris Tomlin and Pat Barrett (Housefires), leaves children with a greater understanding of who God is and of who they are because they are loved by Him.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Chris Tomlin is among the most well-known and influential artists in music. His songs include “How Great Is Our God,” “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” “Our God,” and most recently, “Good Good Father,” to name a few. It is estimated that each week 20–30 million people sing one of Tomlin’s songs in worship. More than anything, Chris loves being a husband to Lauren and a daddy to Ashlyn and Madison.

Pat Barrett is a husband, father, songwriter, and worship leader based out of Atlanta, Georgia. He is the worship pastor of Grace-Midtown Church and cowriter of the #1 song “Good Good Father.” Pat also travels with Housefires, a worship expression based out of the Atlanta area.

Many folks out there may be familiar with the song Good Good Father. If you're not, I truly recommend giving it a quick search on YouTube, because it's a beautiful song about how awesome God is and how much we mean to Him. There are several versions out there–the original one was by Pat Barrett and a newer version has recently been released by Chris Tomlin. Good Good Father (the book), although a fictional children's tale, is inspired by the song.

You're a good good Father
It's who You are, it's who You are, it's who You are
And I'm loved by you
It's who I am, it's who I am, it's who I am

This story follows Tucker, a little bear who goes on a journey to seek out the King with the hopes that he'll help all of his friends in need. Tucker doesn't really know how to approach the King when he gets to the castle, but decides that perhaps bringing a gift would be a nice gesture. Along the way, he encounters several creatures who each make their recommendations on what he should bring.

After hearing the many different stories told by the other creatures, Tucker soon becomes discouraged. How will he decide which gift is the right one to give Him? Little Tucker learns a lot as the story continues to unfold and even finds out what that perfect gift is. The physical book, itself, is a beautiful hardcover with sweet illustrations done by Lorna Hussey, which are absolutely adorable and full of beautiful colors.

It has been a tremendous joy to read this to my son! Not only is it a precious story of a little bear's determination to help his friends and seek out the King, but it holds a special metaphorical meaning for little ones. They will be reassured that God is so many things, a protector, a teacher, a healer, and most importantly a Good Good Father who loves them dearly.

Be sure to also grab a free printable/downloadable Good Good Father Experience Kit that includes coloring pages, a story conversation starter, and scripture flash cards.

It's been a blessing to share this book with my own child and now I'm happy to spread that blessing to someone else. One Our Everyday Harvest reader is going to win a copy of Good Good Father to share the joy of God's love with the little ones in their life!
