Children's Book Set Review + GIVEAWAY: Thank you, God, for Grandma and Thank you, God, for Grandpa by Amy Parker

One of the highlights of my son's week is when his grandparents come to visit him. He is just that head over heels for them, and for good reason too, they are absolutely wonderful people and love him so much. My son was so excited when we got in our latest shipment from Tommy Nelson, because it included two precious books that honor grandparents, Thank you, God, for Grandma  and Thank you, God, for Grandpa

ABOUT THANK YOU, GOD, FOR GRANDMA:
Grandma, Nana, Mom-Mom . . . no matter what you call her, she loves you so very much! Whether you are near or far, she loves to spend time with you and tell you all about Jesus. Thank You, God, for Grandma is a special way to thank God for your sweet, loving, and fun grandma.

ABOUT THANK YOU, GOD, FOR GRANDPA:
Grandpa, Grandpa, Pops . . . no matter what you call him, he is special in all sorts of ways! He plays with you, he reads to you, and he tells you about Jesus. Thank You, God, for Grandpa is a sweet way to thank God for your super-special grandfather.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Amy Parker has written and co-written more than forty books for children, teens, and adults, with more than a million copies sold. She has collaborated with authors ranging from New York Times bestsellers to her very own son. Two of these collaborations—Firebird and Courageous Teens—are recipients of Christian Retailing’s Best Awards. But Amy’s greatest reward is being a wife to Daniel and a mom to their amazing sons, Michael and Ethan.

Thank you, God, for Grandma and Thank you, God, for Grandpa are two delightful board books with padded covers and rounded corners, which make them great for even the youngest of children. The whimsical illustrations by Rosalinda Kightley are a sight to look as we read about a grandpa gorilla and a grandma bear having all sorts of fun with their grandkids.

Amy Parker is such a wonderful children's author and we are true fans of her work. My son's library has plenty of her books and these two are excellent additions to his reading collection. His eyes really light up whenever we read this together, from the adorable illustrations to fun rhyming prose there's so much to like. Plus, the fact that both books offer a grandparent theme, make it all the more special for him. What's even better is when grandma and grandpa can actually sit and read this to him, themselves. What an amazing bonding moment to cherish!

Grandparent's Day is on September 10th, but you don't have to wait until then to celebrate how much you cherish them. Every day is an opportunity to offer tribute to your grandparents or even help your own child give homage to theirs. We personally like to take an extra special moment to show our appreciation for them during Mother's Day and Father's Day, which will be here really soon.

Right now, I am happy to give Our Everyday Harvest readers a chance to win these precious books! One winner will receive both Thank you, God, for Grandma and Thank you, God, for Grandpa padded board books. To enter this giveaway, please follow the Rafflecopter prompts, below.
