My Lift-the-Flap Bible Stories {Children's Book Giveaway}

Pin It

It's so important to teach the Word of God while children are still young. Talking to kids about God and teaching them how to pray is an excellent way to start, and then of course there are so many wonderful Christian books out there that can actually speak to children in a special way, by using fun illustrations or easy to read text. My Lift-the-Flap Bible Stories is our latest treasure of Christian children's literature that offers a fun twist. If you haven't already guessed from the title, it's also a flap book!

With more than 30 lift the flaps that move the story along and charming artwork, My Lift-the-Flap Bible Stories will delight little ones as they learn favorite Bible stories.

Ever since my son was a baby, he's always had a thing for flap books. These are the kind that offer little flaps and folds that when lifted, reveal a special surprise. He gets a real kick out of opening up a flap to reveal what's underneath, and I get satisfaction at seeing his face light up with excitement. Plus, these types of books are a great way to help develop and practice fine motor skills. What an ingenious invention built right into the book!

My Lift-the-Flap Bible Stories includes thirteen different popular Bible stories such as the Story of Creation, Noah's Ark, Jonah, the birth of Jesus, and His resurrection. The stories are short and roughly about a paragraph or two long. Each one also comes with a scripture reference to where it can be found in the Bible.

The illustrations are absolutely delightful and one of my favorite aspects of this book. They're full of vibrant colors and imagery to bring each story to life. Of course the flaps are my son's favorite. They come in all different sizes. Some can be opened to reveal a cute picture that adds to the background, while others can be turned over to finish telling part of the story. Take for instance the story about the Last Supper, which shows Jesus breaking a loaf of bread in half. When the flap is opened, a new image is revealed, showing the bread broken down into small pieces and being passed out to everyone at the table.

We've been having a lot of fun reading My Lift-the-Flap Bible Stories. Not only does my son love reading the stories, but he has a blast revealing the surprises that are located under each flap. This book has been such a sweet addition to our library of faith-based reads, and the additional flap feature offers more of an interactive experience that makes our reading time even more enjoyable.

Hi, my twin girls are just now getting into flap books - I found your comment on the Mom Bloggers Club and thought I'd pop over. What an excellent tool to get the Bible into the hands of children. Not only that, but to get them excited about what's inside it!

I couldn't agree more, Amanda! Having something like a flap book can really get them enticed to sit down and read or listen to the Word of God, which is so important for children while they're still quite young.

Thank you for entering the giveaway! :-)

I think the newer trend of flap books is great. The hidden surprises seem to draw little children more into the story and hold their interest longer. I like that it is being used for Biblical stories for children now.
