5-Minute Bible: 100 Stories & 100 Songs + GIVEAWAY

We can never have too many Bible stories in our week. After all, our days revolve around serving God and reading His word. We were so happy to have had the chance to read the new 5-Minute Bible: 100 Stories & 100 Songs. Whether we are starting the day or winding down the night, this book is a wonderful way for my son to learn all about the many stories in the Bible.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
What a fun way for your little ones to learn 100 of the greatest Bible stories! 5 Minute Bible: 100 Stories and Songs makes an eternal difference as it reinforces God’s amazing love through stories and songs. And the popular 5-minute format is big, colorful, and a great value.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Stephen Elkins is owner and founder of Wonder Kids and Wonder Workshop, a multifaceted Christian media company specializing in the creation and sale of inspirational juvenile books, audio products, and DVDs. Stephen has produced recordings featuring Christian personalities Toby Mac, Rebecca St. James, Michael Tait of DC Talk, Steve Green, Max Lucado, Larnelle Harris, and many other notables. His work was nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award in 1999 for producing Roy Clark Sings & Plays Gospel Greats. He also wrote and produced the Joni Eareckson Tada song “The God I Love,” which is the theme song of her current TV and radio shows and used in conjunction with her bestselling book of the same title. Wonder Kids titles produced by Stephen have spent 100 consecutive weeks on the Billboard bestseller charts.

With Bible stories that are short and sweet, this book is a wonderful addition to our library and is especially nice for those moments right before bed or after lunchtime, when you want to relax and cuddle up with your little one and teach them all about God. As the title mentions, there are 100 stories included. That's plenty of tales paraphrased straight from the Bible, all told in age-appropriate  text for my little one to enjoy. There are a lot of popular Bible stories included, such as the story of creation, Noah's Ark, and Jonah, but what I especially appreciate is that it also includes many other stories that children may not already be familiar with. We've been reading all about Hannah, Samuel, Ezekiel, and even Paul.

Each story is displayed on a two-page spread. The title is followed by scripture notations on where it can be found in the Bible (perfect for further reference). The stories are brief with only a couple of paragraphs on one page. After reading, there are two take away sections for kids to further mediate on. The illustrations are fun, and will definitely appeal to a child's senses with plenty of colors and detail throughout.

Of course, how could I forget one unique feature with this particular Bible storybook, the songs that are included after each story. This is one of our favorite parts. My son loves when I sing to him (even if I'm not much of a singer) and even enjoys doing so, himself, so we have fun singing the songs together. There were some familiar ones that we already knew like Amazing Grace and Noah's Arky, Arky, and some new ones that we were introduced to. There is a notation in the beginning of the book that mentions that some of the song lyrics are abbreviated throughout, but can be found in their entirety on the Wonder Workshop website.

There's nothing like teaching the word of God to my little one, and having the 5-Minute Bible is a wonderful resource that allows him to learn in a way that he'll enjoy. We have been casually reading this, but I'm thinking of actually adding it to our daily Bible studies, focusing on one story a day. Either way, we are blessed to have this one in our collection.

I love books like this. My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and she is advanced for her age. She's learning to write her name. She's a fast learner. She knew her colors before she was two.I know I'm bragging. Lol! I'm so proud of her. I want to teach her about God now while she's at the stage of wanting to learn. She has loved books before she could hold them.Thank you for the chance ☺

Your form won't let me type in the answer boxes.

That's okay, Sue...brag away! :-)

I know exactly how you feel. We started my son at a very young age, too, and he now knows so much and loves to learn. I think it really helps when they begin early, especially instilling a joy for books. That's why I've always loved the Proverbs verse, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Hi Dana, I am so sorry that you are having an issue. Are you using Firefox? Firefox always gives me a problem with forms, but when I switch to IE, it works fine. I just tested the giveaway on IE and it seems to work, but FF is giving me an issue, too. Can you try it in another browser? If this isn't possible for you, just let me know.
