Our Latest Parragon Books Picks for January

A new year is here and that means new adventures and of course new books for all of us here in the Our Everyday Harvest household. Recently, we received a new shipment from Parragon Books. It's always a fun surprise when the mail carrier drops off this package, because we never know what's inside until we open it.

Here are our Parragon picks for the month of January:

Parragon is celebrating magical adventures and it's all about princesses...Disney princesses that is! Now it's no secret that I have a boy, so this particular theme is not really his forte, but I was once a little girl (many, many moons ago), and I have to say that I would have really loved all three of these when I was younger. There's a dry erase activity book with tons of fun activities for kids to take part in, as well as a journal for jotting down life's special moments. That book would have been the bee's knees for me when I was a child, since I loved to journal in my little notebook. Of course, I can't forget to mention the special tin that we received, which contains an activity book and a special sticker movie scene project. Whether you have a daughter who loves under the sea adventures with Ariel from The Little Mermaid or the gracefulness of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, these gift choices from Parragon are sure to make them happy!

Young children will have lots of royal fun with their favorite Disney princesses as they complete this Disney Princess Wipe-Clean Activity Book.

I love wipe-clean activity booksthey're especially nice for younger children. Kids can partake in all kinds of fun activities with this one, such as matching the seven dwarfs to their shadows and helping Cogsworth tell the time. Even though there were mainly princess-themed activities in this, there were a few like the ones I mentioned, above, that would be great for both boys and girls. The book even conveniently includes its own dry erase pen. The best part is that the fun doesn't stop once children finish the book, because they can simply erase their work and do everything over and over again.

Take a leaf out of Rapunzel's book and create your very own, totally unique journal! With cool quizzes and lots of spaces to add your own pics, doodles, thoughts...

This is not just a journal with blank lines. Instead it includes stickers, graphics, quizzes, and fun writing prompts to get little princesses' creative juices flowing. I won't forget to mention the pretty cover which is all displayed in pink glitter. Little girls can design their dream bedroom or talk about their favorite hairstyles...all this princess fun wrapped up into a cute journal style book.

Inside this enchanting Disney Princess Mini Collector's Tin you'll find a cute and colorful activity book with over 40 magical activities to complete.

Here's a cute gift that comes in a small tin, but is packed with big fun! Not only does it contain a sixty-four page mini activity book, but it also contains three sheets of princess-themed stickers (over twenty of them). Kids can use these stickers on the included tri-fold card to created their very own movies scenes. How neat is that?! I would love to see if I could find some Finding Nemo or Toy Story themed versions for my son, because this is a really great concept.

It's not just princesses this month...

Walk with Me by Margaret Wise Brown
Will you come for a walk with me? Join two squirrels on their journey, as they explore the whimsical woodland, babbling brooks, and more in this beautiful rhyming story from Margaret Wise Brown, author of Goodnight Moon.

Last, but not least, I couldn't wait to share our favorite pick from this month's shipment. Walk with Me was written by Margaret Wise Brown, the author of the children's classic Goodnight Moon. This is a sweet precious picture book with beautiful illustrations created by Olivia Chin Mueller. The story tells of two baby squirrel siblings. One asks the other, Will you walk with me?" As one follows the other, they are both introduced to the wonders of nature around them, from pollywogs swimming in the brook to the light hum of the bumblebees buzzing through the air. Without giving too much away, I just have to say that the entire story is offers a heartfelt ending that left us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. My son just loved this book! I also have to reiterate how precious the illustrations are. I can't recall ever seeing squirrels cuter than these little guys!

Easter is in a couple of months, and all of these titles would make great Easter basket stuffers. Be sure to also check out the rest of what Parragon Books has to offer by visiting their website.

My daughter would've loved those Princess books when she was little! Her room is a Princess theme. The dry erase part is a nice touch, so the kids can use it over and over again. I love Goodnight Moon, so I'm sure we would love this new book too. It does look very cute! By the way, I like the new look of your site!
