Facebook
is infamous for their constant changes. Their
most recent revision has altered what many people now see (or don't
see) in their news feed. Without the proper settings, you may not be
receiving all of the updates that
you want to.
- Visit the page of interest (the page you want to receive news feed updates on)
- Hover over the area where it says “liked” (top right of the page).
- Make sure “Show in News Feed” has a check mark in front of it.
- If it doesn’t have the check mark, just click “Show in News Feed” once and that should do it!
Even though you will receive more updates from a certain page by having “Show in News Feed” selected, you still may not receive ALL of them.
Another way to ensure that you are receiving updates from your favorite pages is to "like" a post from them every so often. I have seen this mentioned time and time again, and at first I didn’t believe it, but after trying it out I can honestly say that it does help.
Until Facebook decides to work out the news feed quirks, unfortunately some posts will still slip through the cracks. In the meantime, the two tips mentioned above can be done to help increase the likeliness that you’ll receive most of the important updates from your favorite Facebook pages.
