Contests and Recent News on One Lucky Reader

I just wanted to write a quick post on some wonderful news that I recently received. Some of my readers may remember the Smiley360 Arm & Hammer Survey Sweepstakes that I announced on July 24, 2012.  Readers had the opportunity to take a short survey about their familiarity with the Arm & Hammer Sensitive Toothpaste brand. In return for a few minutes of their time, those who took the survey were automatically entered into a contest to win a $200 Visa gift card.

Since I hosted the sweepstakes, I was recently contacted by Smiley360 with some great news! I am happy to announce that one of the readers right here at Our Everyday Harvest had actually won that sweepstakes!

Out of respect for privacy, I will keep the winner's name anonymous. Since this was a sweepstakes facilitated by Smiley360, this person has already been notified that they've won.

Having said that, I would like to CONGRATULATE the winning reader! I am so happy for you and wanted to thank you for taking the survey.

I used to poke fun at that old saying  "you have to be in it to win it," but have learned that this statement is actually quite true. I had this notion that entering sweepstakes and contests were a waste of time. Then one day, I entered an instant win sweepstakes and finally won. The prize was modest; a $10.00 gift card for gas, but I was ecstatic nonetheless. That was quite a while ago, but since then I've kept at it. Do I win something all of the time? No, not all of the time, but I have won some pretty nifty prizes. What a blessing...sometimes I still can't believe it!

I guess the moral of the story, in short, is that you really do have to be in it to win it!

Are there any other readers out there who enjoy entering sweeps and contests? Have you won anything, yet? I'd love to hear your stories. Please feel free to leave a comment, below.

Oh and on that note...stay tuned for a new Soft Scrub Sweepstakes that I will soon be announcing (you know I had to throw that in there, lol!)
