Chemical Free Cleaning with e-cloth #Greenliving Review and #GIVEAWAY

It's probably safe to say that the harsh winter is behind us. The sun is shining, flowers and trees will be blooming soon, and it’s time to get in the groove for spring cleaning. I’m actually kind of a neat freak, so this time of the year really makes me want to step it up a notch.

Lately, green cleaning has become more and more important to me. While I haven’t fully phased out regular cleaning products, ever since my son was born I've been trying to find other ways to get the job done. I typically utilize many natural products such as tea tree oil, baking soda, and vinegar to help me clean a lot of areas around my home, especially the ones my son comes in frequent contact with.

You can imagine how excited I was when the the opportunity arose to try a green cleaning product from e-cloth, their Glass & Polishing Cloth. Of course with my list of spring cleaning tasks, this really couldn’t have come at a better time.

Since 1995, e-cloth has been the top chemical free cleaning company in Europe and in 2008 they began selling their products in the United States. Their goal is “to supply the most effective, healthiest and most environmentally friendly cleaning system available at a good value to the consumer.” Their slogan is “Perfect cleaning with just water.” They use a special proprietary microfiber cloth technology to make products for all types of cleaning tasks, large and small. The special fibers in each product are 1000 times finer and stronger (1.6 million fiber strands per square inch of cloth) than regular cotton fibers. Coupled with water, the fibers help to capture and lock in any dirt, grime, or dust that they come in contact with.

The Glass & Polishing Cloth has won the UK Good Housekeeping Institute seal of approval in 2015. Each cloth is guaranteed to last through 300 washes and research has even been done to prove that e-cloths are capable of removing 99% of bacteria, including E-coli and Listeria.

I typically do a home dusting every other day. If I don’t keep up with this daily routine, it becomes a mess. Now that it is getting warmer outside I love to leave the windows open, but it seems as though this brings in even more dust accumulation. It’s totally worth letting the fresh air in, but this also means that I have to double my dusting efforts during the season. Regular dusters just push dust around, so I use a particular brand of disposable cloth dusters. They work pretty well, but are awfully expensive for a small pack. I sometimes utilize spray polishes and glass cleaners, but I try not to use them that often, especially in areas where my son plays, because I don’t want him breathing in the harsh chemicals from these polishes. Enter the e-cloth, I can just spray a little bit of water or vinegar and wipe. The cloth’s special material grabs the dust and debris. Voila! The dust is gone and there is no chemical residue left in the air or on the surface.

The Glass & Polishing Cloth is 20"x16," which actually makes it a nice size to work with.

Here is a photo (below) of the glass on my living room end table. The tabletop was spotless in the morning, but by the late afternoon (after leaving the window open) there was dust and debris everywhere! I just did a quick wipe with my damp e-cloth Glass & Polishing Cloth and look how clean and streak free it is. No chemical sprays or expensive disposable dusting clothes needed! I can just throw the e-cloth in the washing machine when I’m done. Plus, it’s non-abrasive, so I won’t have to worry about scratching the glass.

Another cleaning job that I couldn’t wait to tackle was the windows, but had previously put this task on hold because of our harsh winter weather. With all of the nasty weather, spots and all kinds of debris had accumulated. I put the Glass & Polishing Cloth to the ultimate test with this yucky window (below). Ewww! Needless to say, the window is now free of any grime. Ahhh, look at that blue sky!

Dusty or dirty windows and glass are no match for the e-cloth. One of our closets has mirror doors, so my son loves to stand in front of it and play. This means fingerprints everywhere. I just gave the mirrors a quick wipe with the Glass & Polishing Cloth, and they were left pristine without a single streak. I even put this product through a couple of non-traditional uses, such as cleaning my bathroom sink fixtures and granite countertop. The company actually has products specifically meant for bathroom cleaning, but I figured why not try the Glass & Polishing Cloth for this. The end result, it did such a nice job at cleaning up the granite countertop and left the fixtures nice and shiny.

With tiny fibers, each 1/200th the width of a human hair, it’s capable of removing all types of dirt and grime. Just dampen the cloth with water or use a spray bottle.

I’m so glad to have been introduced to the e-cloth Glass & Polishing Cloth. The fact that it’s reusable and lasts through 300 washes means that I can save my family money. Plus, it gets the job done quick and easily, without any hassle or fuss. Most importantly, I now have a new chemical free cleaning product that I can add to my list of favorites. All in all, I'm very pleased with the cleaning results that it’s produced and would be open to trying more of their products for other areas of my home. If you're into green cleaning or would like to start, then I highly recommend giving any one of the e-cloth products a try. They pretty much make a product for every area of the house. Not only that, they also have a line of cleaning products specifically for pets, automobiles and even bath and body!

In addition to having me try out their Glass & Polishing Cloth, e-cloth has teamed up with me to sponsor a giveaway, so that one Our Everyday Harvest reader could experience the natural difference in chemical free cleaning!
