The Berenstain Bears' Easter Blessings by Mike Berenstain #EasterBlessings

With Easter less than a month away, I've been getting quite the sneak peek of many children's books to commemorate this very special holiday. One such book is the new Berenstain Bears' Easter Blessings. I remember when I was a little girl, I owned several titles in the Berenstain Bear collection. I really enjoyed these books, since there was always a moral lesson to be learned. It's nice to see that the series is still going strong with newer titles to entertain children.

An engaging lesson from the iconic Bear family about the true blessing of Easter-the Resurrection of Jesus. Stan and Jan Berenstain launched the Berenstain Bears books in 1962 with The Big Honey Hunt. Since that time, more than 365 Berenstain Bears books have been published, making it one of the best-selling children's series ever. Today, more than fifty years later, Mike Berenstain continues his parents' tradition of creating warm and engaging stories featuring the lovable Bear family--Papa, Mama, Brother, Sister, and Honey--now in a board book format. In The Berenstain Bears' Easter Blessings, the cubs learn about the many blessings in their lives, and especially the greatest blessing of all-the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter. The short, simple story and well-loved characters provide toddlers with a perfect introduction to this very important Christian holiday.

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Berenstain Bears during 2012! Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005 and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania.

Berenstain Bears' Easter Blessings shows children that although Easter baskets and treats are nice, the holiday means so much more! As the bear family begins their Easter morning, they find ways to remind the cubs how they can honor the day. From a delicious breakfast, to a beautiful spring morning, to the many friends and family they have, the cubs are reminded how blessed they are.

This is a short and sweet little board book perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. It's offers children a precious reminder on the true meaning of Easter, while including classic illustrations of the bear family that we all know and love. No children's library can be complete without a few Berenstain Bear books, and this new Berenstain Bears' Easter Blessings will make a cherished addition to any child's library.
