Unboxing My "Revive" VoxBox from Influenster #ReviveVoxBox

You've heard of Christmas in Julywell how about Christmas in August?  I've been here all week enjoying the contents of my new Influenster Revive VoxBox, and couldn't wait to share my experience with everyone! Some of you may have even noticed my tweets already coming through earlier this week.

For those who may be hearing about Influenster for the very first time, let me give you a quick rundown. Influenster is a company that introduces community members to the latest and greatest products out there, as well as some oldies but goodies. Members can take surveys to receive expert badges, which will eventually help pair them up with possible product testing opportunities. One of the most popular opportunities comes in what's called a VoxBox.

Since I've already tried all of the products in my Revive VoxBox, rather than give you a short list of what I unboxed, I will being sharing my personal opinions on each product. So without further ado, here are the goodies that I received and what I thought of them:

SheaMoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo and Crème Rinse: I wanted to mention this one first, because SheaMoisture is a product that we use a lot around here. They are known for their natural bath and body products that contain certified organic shea butter. Each one that I've used so far has been absolutely amazing. Their brand is one that I feel confident standing behind. In fact, I've been using their baby products on my son since he was born. Many folks out there who are reading this may already know that natural baby skincare products are a big deal to me. This is the first time that I have tried their Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Shampoo and Crème Rinse and I'm hooked. This stuff did such a nice job at cleaning and conditioning my hair without leaving it feeling bogged down. My hair actually felt nourished after using it, plus the scent is so light and refreshing.

Brew and Renew Coffee Pod Collection (Hills Bros Coffee 100% Colombian, Chock Full o'Nuts Coffee Midtown Manhattan, and Kauai Coffee Garden Isle): I'm a big coffee drinker, so any chance to try a new brand or flavor is always welcome. Each pod has a special design that's 100% compostable. This is especially nice for the environmentally conscious folks out there. The only downside is that they can't be placed in private composting bins, only in industrial facilities. Perhaps they can change that down the road. All of the pods, with the exception of the Hills Bros. brand, worked perfectly in my k-cup machine. The Hill's Bros pod had some issues with the top seal that I had to work around. This brand was also my least favorite of the three, since it had a somewhat bitter taste. The Chock Full o'Nuts Coffee Midtown Manhattan was my favorite. In fact, this one is not new to me since I've been drinking it for over a year now in its k-cup form. It's full of flavor and has just the right amount of boldness. I definitely recommend it! The Kauai Coffee Garden Isle was my second favorite of the three. This one was also really good. I would consider it more of a light roast than a medium roast. It's very mild, but still has a nice balance of flavor.

Snackwell's Biscuit Thins: These are a nice low calorie snack for on the go or at home. I personally enjoyed mine with a nice hot cup of that Chock Full o'Nuts Coffee Midtown Manhattan. They come in little individual packs of four. The fact that they don't contain high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils is a big plus in my book. They're also made with real coffee and come in a variety of flavors such as Caramel Macchiato and French Vanilla Latte. I received the Dark Chocolate Mocha–it was okay, but probably not my top choice of flavors. I do love chocolate, but it did have a hint of bitterness. Overall it was still tasty with my coffee. I'd probably give these biscuits another try, but would choose one of the other two flavors, instead.

Vitamin Shoppe Protein Powders (Fit N Full in Cookies & Cream, Whey Tech Pro 24 in Strawberries & Cream, and Plnt Protein in Vanilla): I've always been on the fence with protein shakes. For one, I'm very picky about ingredients and have noticed that a lot of them use artificial sweeteners, which is something I try to avoid. Then there are those that just taste outright gross (for a lack of better words). At the same time, they offer a convenient way to get in extra vitamins and nutrients, especially when using them in a weight loss plan. I had an open mind when opting to try all three of these. Actually I can't say that I tried all three, since I soon discovered that the Whey Tech brand had sucralose (artificial sweetener), so I didn't give this one a go. I did try the other two, though. The Fit N Full in Cookies & Cream was just not for me. I personally didn't like the overall taste and the consistency was somewhat chalky. Much to my surprise, I really liked the Plnt Protein in Vanilla! This has got to be one of the best protein drinks that I've ever tasted. The ingredients are raw plant-based, which is more to my liking. It's also Non-GMO and free of many common food allergens. After trying the Plnt Protein brand, I'm happy to say that I'm no longer on the fence with protein drinks and would definitely consider buying this brand in the future. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I also received a really cool shaker bottle in my VoxBox! We have a few of these at home, but they usually disappear when my hubby starts a protein shake regimen. Now I have one that's all mine!
